GHS Class of 1992 Reunion

18 years ago we were walking the halls of Gainesville High School as seniors during our last week of school, eager to finish all of our final exams and looking forward to the coming Saturday at the O'Connell Center where we would don our white-trimmed purple robes for our graduation ceremony.

18 years.

In that amount of time, most of us could have re-lived our entire lives up to that point.

Can you believe it? 

In two years, it will be 20 years since we graced the halls of our alma matter together and now is the time to start kicking around ideas for, planning and organizing events for our 20-year reunion.  Remember, this is YOUR reunion, and it takes dedicated people to make it happen.  You can help by sharing your suggestions and/or volunteering your time, energy and knowledge as a member of the planning committee.

Over the next several days, this notice will be sent out to all the members of our class that we currently have internet contact information for.  Since the internet is the simplest and most cost-effective way to communicate, event planning information will continue to be relayed in this manner.

If you are interested in volunteering as a reunion organizing committee member, please reply to this email and your name will be added to the list of those who will receive updated information, once all the responses are in.

GHS Class of 1990 Reunion

The first reunion is under way! Hurray hurray hurray! The date is set for June 25th - 27th 2010. We are having it at the Paramount Plaza Hotel and Suites. The address is 2900 SW 13th ST. The plan is to have a Friday night come as you are get together. Finger foods will be provided. Saturday we have lunch and dinner planned at the Paramount. We will have lunch served poolside, so the kids and any of us (not me) can swim around if they want. There will be cabanas for us to hangout in and lounge around to catch up and talk about the old days and what's new. The dinner will have two choices for the main entree. Tea, water and soda will be provided. For those who wish to have alcohol there will be an open bar. There will be a DJ, so come prepared to dance. The contracts are signed and the accounts are open, so let's get ready to have some fun.

GHS Class of 1960 Reunion

The GHS Class of 1960 will be holding its 50th Year Reunion Celebration May 21-23, 2010, here in Gainesville. CLASS OF 1980 - 30 Year Reunion

Update: March 2010 - The Class of 1980 will be having their 30 Year Class Reunion at The Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios in Orlando! We invited the Class of 1979 and The Class of 1981 to join us for our Hard Rockin Maxi-Reunion, July 30 & 31, 2010. We are thrilled to be able to Celebrate the past 30 years together at this AMAZING First Class Venue! We have scheduled a "Meet & Greet" on Friday evening. We also will be getting together for lunch in City Walk on Saturday afternoon - bring the whole family! Then we will be treated to dinner prepared by the World Class Chefs of the Hard Rock on Saturday evening - then move into our choice of clubs for dancing and great times for a full evening on Saturday. Sunday morning we will have a Spiritual Service & a Memorial for our Classmates who are "Gone - But Not Forgotten".

CLASS OF 1980 Gainesville - 30 Year Reunion

CLASS of 1980 30-YEAR REUNION in GAINESVILLE will be held June 18th and June 19th, 2010. This is another option for getting together with alumni, seeing improvements to the GHS campus and changes in our home town. Of course, alumni can attend both reunions if desired.
#1- We will meet & greet at Tapas and Tinis near Publix at Haile Market Place Friday, June 18th at 7 pm. No reservation is required and cost is on your own.
#2-There will be a BBQ on the Prairie Saturday, June 19th from 11 am-2 pm. This is a family event and will take place by the pool overlooking Paines Prairie at the G'ville Golf and Country Club. We will have a barbeque lunch and activities can include: swimming, tennis, golf. Reservation is required.
