GHS Earns Two Victories At Bradford Preseason Classic (31-Jan-08)
The Lady 'Canes Varsity played their first two games together as a team this seasonal year, and what a great start. Earning two convincing wins, Jaymi Bautista-Geiger took the hill for the first game versus the Interlachen Lady Rams, and walked away with a 6-4 victory, surrendering only 3 hits and 1 walk. Chris Donovan took to the circle for the second game against Bradford, and hurled a dominating no-hit shutout 13-0 win, allowing only 2 base runners the whole game, one an error, the other a walk. A longer narrative will be posted later.

The regular season begins on Wednesday, February 6, with a district contest right out of the gate at home against Columbia High School. That will be followed up by two more non-district home games against Williston and Ft. White on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
REVISED Final 2008 GHS Softball Schedule Posted (30-Jan-08)
A REVISED final schedule has been posted for both the Varsity and the Junior Varsity for the 2008 season. We have moved the Santa Fe home game from February 22 to February 13. We have also had to cancel the JV home game versus Williston on Thursday, February 7. The Varisty home game versus Williston on February 7 will still be played as scheduled at 7:00 PM.

Assistant Coach Kevin Cattani Joins Varsity Staff (01-Jan-08)
Kevin Cattani has been named as a Varsity Assistant Coach for the 2008 season by Head Coach Pete Mariano. Coach Cattani is presently a graduate student at the University of Florida. His bio can be found on the Coaches page.
