Fritz Kaufmann

Fritz Kaufmann, Lady 'Canes Head Coach, is in his 7th year coaching girls soccer at GHS. Coach Kaufmann spent 1 year as Varsity Assistant, and the last 6 years as Varsity Head Coach, where he led the Lady 'Canes to the 2005 District 4-4A Championship and the 2007 District 4-5A Finals.
Coach Kaufmann has also spent 4 years coaching club soccer at the Leg-A-Z Soccer Academy, primarily with the U17 Inferno Girls team.
Coach Kaufmann presently holds a USSF C Coaching License, and his other professional soccer qualifications include a Level III Goalkeeping Certificate and an appointment as an ODP/State Staff Goalkeeping Coach.
Additionally, other coaching appointments have included 2 years as Oak Hall Boys Varsity Assistant Coach, 1 year as Buchholz Boys Varsity Assistant Coach, and 2 years as the Goalkeeper Trainer for the Buchholz Girls Varsity and JV.
Coach Kaufmann's educational background includes Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and History from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina. Presently, Coach Kaufmann is on faculty at GHS as a Special Needs teacher.
Coach Kaufmann played college soccer at Lenoir-Rhyne, where he earned All-Carolinas honors, as well as an All-District 26 Goalkeeper Award. Coach Kaufmann played his high school soccer locally at Buchholz High School, where he earned All-Area honors. Coach Kaufmann played his club soccer with the UF Internationals Football Club, where he was one of the first two teenagers, and still the youngest player, to be named to the club's starting 11. |

Chrissy Roddy is in her 5th year of coaching soccer at GHS, the first 4 years with the Junior Varsity, and is now in her first as Varsity Assistant Coach.
Coach Roddy presently holds a USSF National E Coaching License.
Coach Roddy's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Education and a Specialist in Education from the Unversity of Florida. She is presently serving as a Guidance Counselor at GHS.
Coach Roddy played at Daytona Beach Seabreeze High School, where she played in four State Final Fours during her high school career, as well as earning All-Area honors. She played club soccer with the Ormond Beach Waves, winning one state championship. |
